"Talk, Strategize and Act"

I believe in education, activism, equality and justice.  I believe in most Progressive beliefs for our citizens and ourselves.  I have found friendship, support, understanding, civil arguments and a group of caring people from the Northshore and beyond.  I feel at home.

GRNS steering committee has people of many different backgrounds in education, job experiences, life and family experiences and leadership style. But together we produce quality programs for the progressive community and participate in various actions that are important communally or individually.  We support and campaign for candidates from local school boards to the Presidency.

GRNS is a great organization with high standards of excellence.  I am proud to be a member of the Steering, Issues, Campaign and Endorsement committees.

    Deep Canvassing (10/2)

    sm_deep_Canvassing2.jpg

Deep canvassing does not seek to get votes for any particular candidate or party. Instead, its purpose is to listen to specific voters' concerns. The techniques canvassers use and the script we are basing our work on asking canvassers to work in pairs and to have a real discussion with voters.

There are no elections in Wisconsin until February 2020. So this is the perfect time to get to know people on the North Shore, to hear what's on their minds, and to awaken some awareness of the upcoming elections.

Please sign up for this important action!

    Postcard Party (10/02)

    PostcardParty_3-680x365_c.jpg

Two bills have been introduced in the legislature: AB303 and SB288. But the committees in the two chambers have not scheduled hearings. And the bills cannot be considered by the full bodies in the Assembly and Senate until they have passed out of committee.

And that's where we come in. We are urging the committee chairs to schedule hearings and to vote the measures out to the whole body. So we are sending postcards to them to nudge them along. (This year the Assembly bill has FOUR Republican co-sponsors, a record!). Please help us by coming in to our office to write and send a few postcards!
