Because Governor Evers has declared a state of public health emergency in Wisconsin and because Grassroots North Shore prefers to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem, we are cancelling all previously scheduled face-to-face campaigning activities. Instead we are urging people to sign up here to participate in virtual phone banks.
How this works: once you sign up with us, someone from the leadership will arrange for you to get a script and some simple-to-follow instructions so you can phone from home. We prefer to use email for this process. So if you are not receiving our weekly email newsletter, please subscribe to it so we can reach you.
You will use your computer to get a list of people to contact with their phone numbers. Using the script we provide (rather than the one you will see on your screen), you will use your own phone -- either a cell phone or your home phone -- to call. As you chat, you can fill out the data on your computer! It's that simple.
We hope to get you the full instructions and the virtual phone bank information you need to get started by Monday, March 23, but we would like you to finish your list by Sunday, March 28, at 8pm. So you'll have six to seven days to get all the way through the list.
This virtual method of campaigning will be in effect until after the April 7 election at least. Please sign up to help. We need all hands on deck!
