The primary in Wisconsin will be held on August 14. Early voting (in-person absentee voting) for the primary election usually takes place during the two weeks prior to the election, ending on the Friday before the Tuesday that is election day.

By policy, Grassroots North Shore does not endorse anyone in a contested primary, but this year we voted to endorse Earnell Lucas for Milwaukee County Sheriff. If you live in the county, you will see his name on your ballot along with two contenders for the job. In the case of Milwaukee County Sheriff, the primary is the election that counts.
