The weather's delightful. So let's get out and walk our neighborhoods to deliver door hangers urging people to contact their legislators and lobby for fair electoral maps!
This is a low-contact project. We will provide you with a map and a list of target names and addresses. You will simply deliver the piece to each address. Unlike traditional canvassing, you will not have to talk to the residents unless you want to. And even then, we recommend that you respect social distancing and perhaps even wear a mask.
We'll be ready to begin this project as soon as the materials arrive and we've had a chance to bundle them and create the walk lists. In short, probably by the last week in July.
So please sign up and we'll contact you.WHENAugust 15, 2021 at 11pm - August 16, 2021 at 12am
Working on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, Grassroots North Shore is phoning registered voters who are currently on a list to have their voter registration canceled after July 15 because they have not voted in the last four years. Our goal is to let them know the mailing from the Wisconsin Election Commission is legitimate and to encourage them to renew their voter registration.
This phone bank is a NONPARTISAN effort to ensure that everyone who is eligible to vote is registered or, if not, can re-register, either in Wisconsin or in another state.
As soon as we have the information from the League of Women Voters, we will convene at least one Zoom meeting to offer some refresher information about how to use the phone bank and a walk-through of the script.

You can sign up for an Issue Team meeting on our calendar page. We have issue teams forming around Fair Maps and Voting Rights, Criminal Justice Reform, and Violence Prevention.
