Early Voting Information for the February 21 Primary Election

Preliminary Information as of December 15, 2022

The deadline to request a ballot by mail is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023. However, please make your request ASAP to ensure timely delivery. Plan to mail your absentee ballot or take it to your municipal clerk as soon as possible. DO NOT USE A DROP BOX to return your ballot.

Voter Registration: Last day for voters to register by mail or online is on January 31, 2023. The last day to register during early in-person voting is Friday, February 17, 2023. In the city of Milwaukee, the rules for in person registration and for the last day of early in person voting may be different.

Generally, early voting takes place in the city, town or village hall. Each city, village, or town has its own COVID-19 policies. Please call ahead to find out what is required to vote early in person.
