“Is Democracy Dead in Wisconsin?” featuring John Nichols, journalist and author. With gerrymandering and secret redistricting producing skewed results in the Wisconsin legislature, how do we return to representative government that reflects the true results of our elections? John will lift our spirits and renew our dedication.
Grassroots North Shore raises funds only once a year: and this event is IT! We're an all-volunteer organization whose annual budget of ~$17,000 enables us to maintain an office and a robust internet presence year round.
In addition to sending out a weekly newsletter, we organize topical educational events at least quarterly, hold an annual meeting and potluck dinner, and support a full range of compaign-related activities — from circulating nominating papers to phone banking, door knocking, and hosting house parties — for progressive candidates on the North Shore and in Ozaukee County. Please consider making a donation to keep our doors open and our activists out there working to make Wisconsin a better place for all of us.
